Copyright & Takedown Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
DreamShop respects intellectual property rights. Rights holders can report infringing listings or reviews, we remove content that infringes, and we ban sellers who repeatedly infringe.
1. How to Report Infringing Content
If you believe content on DreamShop (a product listing, photo, review, or any other user-posted material) infringes your copyright, submit a takedown notice using the form on this page or email legal@dreamshop.com.ng with the subject “Copyright Takedown”.
- Your full name and contact details (email and, if applicable, company name).
- A link (URL) to the infringing content on DreamShop.
- A link or description of the original work you own.
- A statement of what rights you hold and how the content infringes them.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.
2. How We Process Notices
We review complete notices as quickly as practicable, typically within 2 business days. If a notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the infringing content and notify the seller or user who posted it. Incomplete notices are returned with an explanation of what is missing.
Sellers and users may submit a counter-notice if they believe their content was removed by mistake or misidentification. Counter-notices go to legal@dreamshop.com.ng and must identify the removed content, explain the mistake, and include the same good-faith and accuracy statements. If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the original complainant files a court action.
3. Repeat Infringer Policy
We maintain a record of upheld takedown notices per seller account. A seller who receives three (3) upheld copyright takedown notices has their selling privileges permanently revoked and their listings removed. We may act sooner where infringement is wilful or large-scale. Accounts attempting to evade this policy by re-registering may also be terminated.
4. Knowingly False Notices
Submitting a knowingly false or materially misleading takedown notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees, under applicable law.
